The posted position is to fill a need within our Southern After-Market Division located in Birmingham, AL. As the Regional Estimator and Salesperson you will be the point of contact for sales calls with new and previous clients, make site visits and new sales contacts expanding our market. You must be attentive to the client’s needs, and be capable of providing solutions to meet those needs. The position entails working with the Regional Manager to estimate costs and write proposals, attend bid walks, send out request for quotes and calculate quantity take off from prints. This position requires occasional work at elevation and may require background check, fitness for duty and drug screening to comply with customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Contact previous and future clients to set up sales calls
  • Track & Maintain clients list
  • Gather costs from vendors and create cost estimates
  • Write proposals based upon cost estimates
  • Attend Pre-Bid Meetings
  • Put together inspection reports from data & photos gathered by the inspector

Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years proven sales experience preferably in the industrial sector
  • Able to conduct business discussions to determine a client’s needs, understanding those needs, and recommending solutions
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, be approachable, initiate contact, and build relationships with ease
  • Self-motivated, adaptable to change, and possess a strong drive to succeed
  • Must have great time management skills
  • The ability to travel; must have a car and a valid driver’s license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Must be capable of passing a background check to access NERC SIPS sites including drug tests.
